Had a wonderful day today. Went to rehearsal for a show I'm doing tomorrow evening. I will be performing my aerial act at a ballet performance which is very exciting.
I had lunch with my mom, who I do not see enough, at Cafe Michelangelo. We had yummy sauteed calamari, blintzes stuffed with mushroom and peppers with a cream sauce, and a white pizza with chicken, spinach and ricotta cheese. Are you hungry yet? Sorry no pics because was too paranoid to take my new cam with me.
I'm still trying to get used to the new cam. I won't even let EW touch it. I accidentally got some spit on the lens (don't ask how) today and nearly had a heart attack. I sprinted into my dressing room to grab one of my sunglass lens cleaners to wipe the lens down. I just hope it's not bad for it. The lenses are like $200!! Fucking insane.
So anyway, after rehearsal, I had about 4 hours until EW would drag me to the gym, so I camwhored of course. For those of you who are oblivious...
Camwhoring - To take pictures of either yourself and/or with your friends excessively
I just googled camwhoring and every single picture is of an Asian chick. Hmmm...
I'm not too fond of straight on shots, but this one turned out pretty nice. As most photogs will tell you, the eyes tell the story of the photograph. What does this one say to you?
I call this one "The Thinker" lol. Do you know how hard it is to take a photo of yourself but make it look like someone else took it? Pretty damn hard especially with a chunky camera.
EW with London! I am so blessed to have such good looking me in my life. I hope my children will have EW's sexy green eyes and not my poopy brown eyes. I don't want them to have to wear colored contacts all the time like I do. BTW how did London manage to tuck in his snaggletooth?
Sometimes my cam adds this blue tone to the photos. Only when I take them in daylight. I don't know why it does it but I like it. It adds an ethereal effect to the photo. And it makes my skin look flawless which is a plus too! No photoshop needed...yesss.
Ok that's it for now. More photos coming soon since this is my new obsession. When I have kids they will ask "Mommy, why did you take so many photos of yourself when you were younger?".
I will reply "Mommy wasn't self-obsessed, she was just infatuated with the camera."

Your dog is too cute! lol. So photogenic. My fam and friends tease me because my sis, girlfriends and I take way too many pics of my little jack-chi and post on FB. But I have a great SLR and even amateur images come out incredible- so why not take a bunch of photos? hehe.
Hm...as for new subject-spiration...I'm always a fan of city images with people as the focus. People watching in the city of brotherly love captured on cam!
Have you checked out local Reuben Harley's photographic work at all?

KestrelChick that's a really good idea...I think I'm going to go out in the city next week and see what I can capture.
Hopefully I don't make too many people angry by snapping pics of them and then running away hah.
