It's My Birthday And I Can Relax If I Want To

I turned 24 today and I have decided not to have a big party like I have had for the past 3 years. It's just takes too much out of me to find a venue, create a guest list, find an outfit, etc.

By the end of all the planning I end up being too exhausted to truly enjoy myself like I should be on my birthday.

Honestly, I don't even remember too much from my past three birthday parties. Don't get me wrong, I had TONS of fun but thanks to the countless free bottles and my poor judgment, it has been a joyous blur.

As you can see, I am not very mentally aware in my birthday photos and I progressively got worse as they years went by.

So this year, because I am engaged and am beginning a more adult phase of my life, I have decided to just have a nice quiet dinner with my fiance.

A year ago I probably would have thought this to be quite dull but this year I am super excited to spend alone time with E.W and to talk about our very exciting future together.

I have no clue where we will be going to dinner tonight but I will be sure to take a few pics :)

And to make up for this year's lack of party, I can't wait to celebrate my 25th birthday in Miami next year!!! Gotta celebrate getting old!

I have created a face chart to show how I have aged over the years. In 1987 I looked like an adorable Gerber baby, in 2003 I had my awkward ugly year, in 2007 I dyed my hair blonde and regretted it, and in 2011 I think I look just right :)

I am a new follower and new to blogging. It has only been a little over a month so I am still learning a little more each day. My blog is not as technical or awesome as yours but I am getting there. I am following you thru GFC and would greatly appreciate a follow back! Thanks! By the way, Go for it. Life only comes around once and then its gone. I am glad I did alot when I was younger because you never know what lies ahead and for me that was getting sick and becoming disabled and not able to work. So, I am glad I lived my life to the fullest instead of waiting for someday when I would retire! Don't take that for granted that you will still be able to do things as you get older. I am not saying spend every dime or stay wasted all the time, just enjoy being young and being able to fun have!
